Daniel creates work that is designed to promote connections with wonder and the world around us - both seen and unseen. He creates luminous landscapes and installations that invite viewers and participants to explore the experiences beyond themselves whether with the environment around them or the world within.

With a background in photography and a fascination with both natural and constructed environments, Daniel is experimenting with new materials, techniques and structures to create immersive worlds activating sight, touch, smell and sound.

Daniel A'Vard is based in Porepunkah, North-East Victoria, on the unceded lands of the Waywurru and Taungurung peoples. He has recently completed a Master of Fine Arts at RMIT.

Daniel is also an advocate of Makoto Fujimura’s concept of Culture Care and works alongside communities in Regional Australia to build connection through creativity and and finding common ground across communities through his organisation Regional Culture Care Australia.
